I had the pleasure of enjoying the company of Jenni van Niekerk, the programme coordinator for The Swellendam Winter School.  The Swellendam Winter School is an initiative dreamed up by the resident, John Paisley.

Variety Of Courses

Courses range from three to five days and the main goal is to leave connected, refreshed with a variety of knowledge from the Swellendam Winter School.  Just to mention a few courses:  Rock Climbing For Beginners and Botanical Art facilitated by Geoff Visser. Also, Photography Mastery by Henk Venter, Kos Lekker Kos in the beautiful setting of the Bontebok National Park.  Not even to mention, True South African Culinary Art, Pilates Posture Rite, Horse Human Harmony and Fascinating Fynbos.

The courses are well priced and Range from R1500 for three days to R2500 for five days (excluding accommodation).

Family Time

Grandparents, Moms, Dads and anyone over the age of 16 can attend the normal courses, while there is a Holiday S'Cool program for children aged 10 and up.
